As most everyone already knows, I’m more than a little obsessed with The Wizarding World and Harry Potter fandom. This week’s Crafting With Cocktails is all about making Hogwarts letters for your friends! I am hosting a birthday party in a week and wanted all of my friends who have been just as engaged in HP to have a truly magical experience.
Supplies:
- Parchment. I used Southworth 32lb. Ivory parchment that I purchased at Office Depot.
- A green pen
- A gold Sharpie
- A Hogwarts stamp which I purchased here
- An ink pad which I purchased here
- A Hogwarts crest wax seal which I purchase here
- Hot glue gun and red hot glue sticks OR Sealing Wax
- Lumos font which you can download here
- Aquiline Two font which you can download here
- A Hogwarts crest- I used this one
- 5.75×8.75 ivory envelopes
- A printer

Step 1: Create your letter. Below is the text that I used in my letter:

Step 2: Add the Hogwarts crest at the center of the top of your letter. Add signatures above the names you place on the letter. Print these out and fold in half.
Step 3: Print your letter and fold in half. Place in an envelope.
Step 4: Adress your envelope with as much detail as you can.
Step 5: Using your ink pad and Hogwarts stamp, stamp the logo on the envelope flap.
Step 6: Using your Hot glue gun and red hot glue, seal the envelope and stamp in with the wax seal.
IMPORTANT!
If you are going to mail your letters, be sure to purchase “Non-machinable” stamps, otherwise, the machinery they use in the postal system may deteriorate the quality of your letter. They are slightly more expensive than regular stamps but well worth the surprise!
